About Saygin Akbudak
Saygin is a professional musician and music teacher based in North London, with over 20 years of experience teaching guitar, piano, clarinet and saxophone to students of all ages and levels.
He graduated from Ege University State Conservatoire in Turkey, where he studied piano and clarinet. He also completed a pedagogical formation programme at the same university. He went on to build a career spanning teaching, performing and publishing.
In 2019, Saygin published Klarnet Eğitimi (Clarinet Education) — one of the most comprehensive clarinet method books released in Turkey. Before moving to London, he performed regularly on national television and major radio stations, and worked as a studio musician on album, commercial and film recordings.
In 2020, he moved to London and established North London Music Lessons — bringing that depth of experience directly into his teaching.
Saygin's approach is simple: every student is different, and lessons should reflect that. Some students come with a specific goal in mind — an ABRSM exam to pass, or a piece they've always wanted to play. Others are just starting out and aren't sure yet where music will take them. Both are a great place to begin.
Patience and consistency are at the heart of every lesson. Progress looks different for every student — and that's exactly how it should be.
